Planning a visit to Jamestown Settlement? Be sure to check out our interactive game, Search to Survive. Download from home or at the museum; you will need to be at Jamestown Settlement and have GPS access to play when you arrive onsite.



The game begins just outside the re-created Powhatan Indian village in the outdoor living history areas. Using the map feature, players navigate to activity location markers. The game continues to a re-creation of James Fort and the ships’ pier to see three re-created ships, like the ones that brought the first settlers to Jamestown. Videos and other activities along the way assist players to achieve their mission. To be successful, you must keep your wits about you, avoid danger and have fun!
